Update: Obscene Art Denigrating God is Destroyed

It would seem that a woman who took great exception to the vulgar art exhibit entitled "The Misadventures of the Romantic Cannibals" by artist and Stanford University professor Enrique Chagoya that portrayed Christ in a pornographic pose decided to take matters into her own hands... with a crowbar.

Yesterday she ventured into the Loveland, Colorado public art museum where this vulgar "art" was currently on display and with the crowbar in hand, she destroyed the obscene "art exhibit".  The lady responsible for the destruction of this piece of filth is 56 year old Kathleen Folden of Kalispell, Montana.

She was arrested shortly after the 4 p.m. incident yesterday and charged with felony criminal mischief.  An observer of the incident, Mark Michels, said that she was saying, "How can you desecrate my Lord?"  Michels said she destroyed the glass case surrounding the print and then destroyed the print itself.  "After that she was totally passive," according to Michels.

She may be fully justified in being offended, but she had zero right to destroy the painting. I hope she gets some jail time.

I have to see and hear things that offend me every day, but I don't have the "right" to take a crowbar to it, and go unpunished. If I did...watch out Glenn Beck :)
