Gun Logic for Beginners

1 - Eleven teens die each day because of texting while driving. Maybe it's time to raise the age of Smart Phone ownership to 21.

2 - If gun control laws actually worked, Chicago would be Mayberry, USA. 3 - The Second Amendment makes more women equal than the entire feminist movement. 4 - Legal gun owners have 300 million guns and probably a trillion rounds of ammo. Seriously, folks, if we were the problem, you'd know it. 5 - When JFK was killed, nobody blamed the rifle. 6 - The NRA (National Rifle Association) murders 0 people and receives ($$$$ 0) nothing in government funds. Planned Parenthood kills 350,000 babies every year and receives $500,000,000 in tax dollars annually. 7 - I have no problem with vigorous background checks when it comes to firearms. While we're at it, let's do the same when it comes to immigration, Voter I.D., and candidates running for office. 8 - Folks keep talking about another Civil War. One side knows how to shoot and probably has a trillion rounds. The other side has crying closets and is confused about which bathroom to use. How do you think that would work out? 9   A man who left 300,000 guns for the Taliban is lecturing us on gun control and lives in the White house.

Thoughts on the Ruinous Mid-Term Elections

After the mid-term elections a few weeks back, I was admittedly disheartened.  It’s not that I bought into the rhetoric of the mythically monumental “red wave” that was supposed to sweep the leftist hate-America-first congress critters and senators from office.  I knew better, and if there is ever a way for Republicans to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, they will consistently find a way to do so it seems.

Perhaps if they ran on a clearly articulated pro-Constitution agenda instead of just against the senile and corrupt Biden and his flying monkeys in congress, they would have fared better.

That said, the stage has been increasingly set in this once great nation to support socialist/leftist candidates and their dangerous ideas which have been demonstrably proven to fail repeatedly along with their profligate spending on extra/un-constitutional things.

I know –   I know –

Anything that the left wants to spend tax payers’ dollars on is covered under the Constitution’s “good and plenty” clause.  Er, I mean under the general welfare clause.  Never mind that this is so much nonsense and that anything not specifically enumerated as a right or duty of the federal government in the constitution is supposed to be reserved to the states or the people.

Seems like I have read that somewhere before too…  Now if only our elected officials would likewise do us the minimal favor of reading the freaking constitution they are supposed to support and defend. But I digress.  After all, why would the leftists care about governing in a manner faithful to the constitution when they despise America?  Even their previous messiah Obama was swept into office on the promise of fundamentally transforming America with “hope and change” for free stuff for everyone that towed the manifesto line.

Academia has tilted left for so long that they have indoctrinated the current generation of students and much of the previous one as well to their leftist propaganda.  Question this and one is labelled a fascist, racist, sexist, homophobe, transphobe, xenophobe, authoritarian, blah blah blah.  Oh, and one’s grade will likely reflect one’s inability to regurgitate a leftist professor’s beliefs.  I know.  I have seen it personally for many people.

I don’t know if we have reached the tipping point where we will not be able to save America from its own self-inflicted destruction or not.  The vocal left and its myriad special interest groups of hate America always propagandists seem to have an unassailable hold on the direction this country is headed, and they aren’t beyond doing whatever is necessary to ensure that they hold on to their power, elections be damned.  (There are ways to make sure elections always tilt to blue rather than red if the outcome is in doubt.  Just ask Kari Lake in Arizona.)

Anyway, I figure that I will simply go on about my life and try to associate with good like-minded people who appreciate what REAL old-fashioned Americans are: Those that love liberty, the constitution, and a government that protects those rights and nothing more.  In the meantime, I will trust in God and keep my powder dry.  I think perhaps not focusing on worldly things right now may be the only way we have left of saving our once great nation.  My prayers are always directed as such towards God accordingly.  May He still bless America.
