The Democrats' Hypocrisy on Russia

Some of President Trump's statements at the Helsinki Summit with Vladimir Putin were definitely foolish and cringe-worthy.  He did not help his own created image of being the tough, no-nonsense leader that he would like to portray to the rest of us.  That said, Trump's actions against Russia, particularly as compared to that of President Obama's and his corrupt Secretary of State Clinton's, is orders of magnitude tougher than that of previous Democrats.  Of course, that doesn't fit the leftist narrative and will be summarily dismissed by them accordingly.

I find it ironic that the Left's posturing against Russia is so tough these days now that they are "out of power".  I remember when Russia was still Communist and many on the left adored them and thought their own country, particularly under Ronald Reagan, was the real threat to world peace and prosperity.  I guess their group hallucination regarding the mis-perceived transgression that Russia cost their own corrupt Hillary the presidency has really ruffled their feathers.  I guess to many Leftists slights against their party are more damnable than slights against their country.

What Progressives Have Wrought for the Economy

It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words.  With that in mind, I thought I would share a few pictures, charts, and graphs that illustrate perfectly what a disastrous job President Obama and the progressives in congress have done with their "help" of our economy.   

With all of this highly relevant data, it seems fairly  obvious that re-electing Obama and the Democrats is not the solution to our economic problems.  And it doesn't take anywhere near a thousand words to come up with that painfully apparent conclusion.

Democrats Disenfranchise Voters in Massachusetts

I came across an interesting little story during my lunch hour today that once again displays the shameless levels of hypocrisy perpetrated by the Democratic Party.   Of course it was not reported in the mainstream media.  It would seem that the Massachusetts Democratic Convention was held last Saturday on June 2^nd.  What was particularly interesting to note was that anyone entering the MassMutal Center for the convention would be required to show photo identification.  This was clearly spelled out on page 14 of the convention program accordingly. 

Now isn’t it amazing that the very party that screams about the disenfranchisement that the evil Republicans are creating by wanting to ensure that the people voting in elections are who they claim to be by showing photo ID prior to entering the voting booth is making it a requirement that photo identification must be presented in order to enter the Massachusetts Democratic Convention?  Is it possible that the Democrats really didn’t have altruistic motives in allowing anyone and everyone to vote based only on their good word that they were legally authorized to vote? 

If this disenfranchisement of Democrats from their state convention is offensive to you people, I would suggest that you make your complaint known in person to the Honorable Attorney General Eric Holder at the Department of Justice in Washington DC.  Just make sure you take along your driver’s license with you though, as I guarantee you will need a photo ID to gain access to this voter/taxpayer funded office building.

An Uncompromising Mid-Term Election Win

Beginning Tuesday evening when it was apparent to even the most liberal television commentator that the Republican party would take control of the House of Representatives with near historic gains not seen in most living peoples' lifetime, they all seemed to immediately switch gears and began to put forth the notion that now the GOP had to govern instead of just obstruct; in other words, they were going to have to learn to compromise with the Senate and President Obama.

Really?  That is the recommendation from the "objective" main stream media, all of the remaining Democrats in office, and even some of the elitist establishment Republicans?  The Republicans will have to compromise? 

With the fervor and intensity of the tsunami that just washed the Republicans into the House, how can these people seriously think that compromise is what most of the voters in this still center-right nation wanted when they cast their ballots three days ago?  I am thinking there is more "house cleaning" to do in 2012, if you'll pardon the pun, since evidently there are still a few folks that didn't GET THE MESSAGE!

Now, I am not surprised by this tactic.  Indeed, President Obama laid the groundwork for this in a New York Times story by Peter Baker back on October 12th, where Baker wrote,

Obama expressed optimism to me that he could make common cause with Republicans after the midterm elections. "It may be that regardless of what happens after this election, they feel more responsible," he said, "either because they didn't do as well as they anticipated, and so the strategy of just saying no to everything and sitting on the sidelines and throwing bombs didn't work for them, or they did reasonably well, in which case the American people are going to be looking to them to offer serious proposals and work with me in a serious way. "

It is striking to me, since when the Democrats have taken the reins of government in the past, they have never stated seriously that they intended to work with Republicans and compromise; nor have their allies in the media ever suggested such a proposal either.

Indeed, after Obama's election in 2008, despite occasional campaign rhetoric to the contrary, Obama had no intention of compromising with the Republican members of congress even then.  In fact, many folks may recall that just three days after his inauguration when the new president had gathered congressional leaders of both parties to the Whitehouse to discuss his proposed economic stimulus, House Republican Whip Eric Cantor gave President Obama a list of modest proposals for the bill. Obama said he would consider the GOP ideas, but told the assembled Republicans that "elections have consequences" and "I won." As I said, President Obama had no intention of compromising on his policies from the very beginning.

Can anyone imagine that when in 2006 when the Democrats took control of congress saying, "Well we still have two more years of George W. Bush, so we will have to work with him and compromise."?  Heck no, nor would I honestly expect them to have ever done so.  This, evidently, is just another example of one of the Democrats' double standards that should only apply to their loyal opposition. 

Well, let me say something loud and clear to my newly elected officials, and to those that escaped the voters' wrath this time.  You good people were elected not to compromise but rather to repeal the un-Constitutional Obamacare act, ensure that cap & trade legislation is not passed, cut spending across the board, secure our national borders, and ensure that taxes are not raised in the midst of this recession.

You do NOT compromise on any of these agenda items or there will be a huge repeat of this last election come 2012.  And,accordingly, the Republican Party will have rendered itself inconsequential since conservatives will relegate them to the sidelines as they take control of congress. 

Compromise is largely what brought America to this brink.  We even compromised with a Democrat-lite presidential candidate for the GOP in 2008 and thus lost.  Why get a wanna-be when you can vote for the real thing?  Ironically, even John McCain has tacked right as he saw the writing on the wall if he continued his "maverick" ways. 

The bottom line is this: We need senators and congressmen that will follow and defend the Constitution, cut government waste and spending to austerity levels, and listen to the will of the people.  We need a hell of a lot more Jim DeMint's and a lot less Lindsey Graham's in other words. 

We The People voted you folks in to address these items, and so you shall, or we will replace you with those who will in two years.  In the meantime, there is no room for compromising when what you are doing is right.  Indeed, why would anyone wish to compromise with policies that have brought us to these perilous times?  One does not compromise when the object of such compromise is wrong!  Stay steady and true!

Democrats Propose Guaranteed Retirement Accounts by Raiding Your 401(K)

It would seem the next great abuse perpetrated by the federal government may come in a lame duck session of congress this fall.  The form that this new abuse of power will take is in the context of our federal government's potential plans to seize private 401(k) and IRA plans to fund government controlled "Guaranteed Retirement Accounts" in which to disburse money to retired recipients.  This is proposed to be a supplement to the current social security program, and indeed is intended to be managed by the same Social Security Administration.

The main, if not explicitly stated, purpose of these Guaranteed Retirement Accounts (GRA's) is to fund the collapsing union pension funds with this un-Constitutional confiscation and redistribution of monies from private citizens' retirement accounts such as 401(k)'s and IRA's.

This plan was originally proposed by Professor Theresa Ghilarducci, an economist at the New School for Social Research in New York several years ago.  The Obama administration seems willing to move forward with this plan, and indeed Vice President Joe Biden floated the idea to the public for GRA's back in February's “Middle Class” report. 

Ghilarducci's proposal calls for eliminating the 401(k) plan system and replacing it with a government-run pension plan funded by employee contributions.  Her plan claims that participants would be guaranteed an inflation-beating return and a lifetime stream of income, accordingly.

"What people want from their pensions is guaranteed income for life," Ghilarducci said when her plan was first brought to light in 2008.  I would submit to Ms. Ghilarducci that what people really want is for the federal government to NOT confiscate money they earned and have it "managed" and redistributed by a federal government that has repeatedly and without exception proven that they are incapable of managing any program with efficiency, and indeed are more likely to create a reasonable chance of insolvency over time for any program under their management.

Ghilarducci's plan would eliminate the tax breaks received for contributing to a 401(k) or an IRA plan thus making the desirability of these plans practically vanish.  The thought behind this idea is that these tax breaks are depriving the federal government of too much revenue.  Far better to redistribute Americans' privately earned and saved retirement accounts and further reward a huge Democratic constituency by keeping their pension funds solvent on the backs of us "greedy" Americans.

If this plan is passed in a lame duck session of congress this fall, it will only serve to show the continued arrogance and disregard the Democrats have towards a vast majority of hard working and responsible American people.  It will also serve to illustrate that the progressive Democrats still have not gotten the message that a majority of Americans have been saying to our government over the course of the last few years.  Finally, it will also give the Republicans one more law to repeal in 2011.

Speaker Pelosi: Democrats "Haven't Gotten the Credit For What We Have Done"

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi granted an interview with Politics Daily that was posted today.  In this interview she claims that the 111th Congress under her leadership has been very effective and that the seeming anger from a large swath of voters in the country is due to a campaign of misinformation regarding their accomplishments and a lack of understanding on behalf of voters regarding what the Democrats have done for America. 

Pelosi said that Democrats, "haven’t really gotten the credit for what we have done, but we will take it to the voters and have a Democratic majority to follow through on it."  Despite her intimating that the public is just not aware of the ramifications of what the Democrats have accomplished, the irony seems to suggest that the public is indeed quite aware of what this latest congress has enacted into law and that is precisely why they are furious. 

The controversial financial reform act, the gargantuan deficits racked up, the trillion dollar stimulus package spent, and a widely and ever-growing-in-unpopularity health care law are precisely why a large percentage of Americans are angry and ready to take away the reigns of control of the House of Representatives from Pelosi.

In 2007 when Nancy Pelosi became Speaker, she had promised to enact "no new deficit spending".  Under her tenure, nearly $5 Trillion in new debt has been amassed.  Nancy Pelosi is the 60th Speaker of the House and has added more debt to the nation than the first 57 Speakers combined.

“There are forces at work, special corporate interests who aren’t happy,” says Pelosi, and those interests are “pouring millions of millions of dollars into the media and now into the campaigns to mischaracterize everything that we did....So that’s that. It’s up to us to go out there. I’m very confident; our members know why they voted for what they did.”

I imagine that the Democratic members of the House do indeed know why they voted for what they did.  They simply have no way to justify their votes now to an angry populace though.  Far better to distance themselves from their votes and avoid the issues when at all possible.  If these laws enacted were to the betterment of America, I guarantee you they would be trumpeting their votes and running on their records.  Instead, despite Speaker Pelosi's comments to the contrary, Democrats are running away from their records... and understandably so.

Why Don't The Democrats Run on Their Record?

With the mid-term congressional elections only three weeks away from tomorrow, it would seem that by nearly all even semi-objective accounts and polling sources that the Democrats are due for a huge comeuppance where they will almost assuredly lose control of the House of Representatives and may even lose control of the Senate before the polls close on the evening of November 2nd.

Now the Democratic spin-doctors and their willing accomplices in the main stream media are trying mightily to do whatever they can to alleviate the damage to their cause, but the fact remains that most of the tactics they are now employing in the final few weeks of this contest amount to little more than personal attacks and an avoidance of the main issues at all costs.

And that is what strikes me as peculiar.  Why would the Democrats not be touting their overwhelming partisan vote for Obamacare?  How about the stimulus package?  How about the financial reform legislation?  How about the yet-to-pass cap & trade legislation that they are championing?  How about cash for clunkers?  How about any number of irresponsible spending bills they passed into law?

If the public truly had wanted these things and elected the Democrats to office in order to enact legislation to bring us all of the fruits of these disastrous laws, why are the Democrats not yelling from the rooftops about what they have accomplished in our name?  How come you don't see anyone even MENTIONING Obamacare except in the case where a given politician states that he or she voted AGAINST it? 

Is it possibly because of the fact that the Democrats were indeed hijacked by the far left progressives of their party and failed to listen to the vast majority of Americans and their opinions and pass these unwanted, irresponsible, and often un-Constitutional laws in spite of the peoples' will?  I have a rather gargantuan hunch that is precisely the case.

November 2nd will indeed be the ultimate Tea Party to date and the Democrats have absolutely nobody to blame but themselves for listening to the far left fringes of their party at the expense of the opinions of We The People.  Really... what did they think would happen as a result of their arrogance?

The Democrats Cynical Attempt to Harness the Illegal Alien Vote

Michael D. Shear wrote an article in the July 20th, 2010 publication of the Washington Post that, "President Obama and his political aides privately acknowledge that the government's decision to sue Arizona over its new immigration law is helping to fuel an anti-immigration fervor that could benefit some Republicans in elections this fall.

But White House officials have concluded that, over the long term, the Republicans' get-tough message is a major political miscalculation. They predict it will ultimately alienate millions of Latinos, the fastest-growing minority group in the nation.


West Wing strategists argue that the president's call for legislation that acknowledges the role of immigrants and goes beyond punishing undocumented workers will help cement a permanent political relationship between Democrats and Hispanics -- much as civil rights and voting rights legislation did for the party and African Americans in the 1960s."

And therein lies the crux of the issue as far as the Democrats are concerned, just as I have articulated repeatedly over the years.  The Democrats are not trying to "help" illegal aliens in the United States strictly out of a sense of compassion or any other altruistic reason.  In fact, if it were to become quite apparent that 70% of these illegal aliens entering this country were likely to vote for Republicans the next time amnesty rolled around, I guarantee you that the Democratic leadership would have made that border fence water tight, let alone people proof.  Further, they would be prosecuting and deporting such folks found to be here illegally with extreme prejudice, if you will pardon the turn of phrase.

Instead, since the opposite is true and it seems that approximately 70% of illegals are more likely to favor the big government entitlement mentality of the Democratic Party, the Democrats are actively working to try and harness and capture this potentially huge voting block.

The Democrats then have developed a strategy to explain their actions, or lack thereof as the case may be.  They give all of the oft-heard talking point platitudes like, "These people just want to have a better life," or such nonsense as "illegal aliens are essential to our economy and they do the jobs that other Americans no longer will."  My favorite though is the statement of how we "need to get these people out of the shadows". 

Indeed there is a kernel of truth to each of these reasons, but they are offset by the reality of the matter often times which shows that far more harm is done through allowing this illegal immigration to continue unabated with a wink and a nod from our President and Democratically-controlled Congress.  Indeed, this mindset was inexplicably also adhered to by moderate Republicans and President George W. Bush as well, likely out of fear of alienating this huge potential future voting block.

Indeed, this Democratic strategy of non-enforcement of our existing immigration laws is nothing more that the deliberate attempt to try and dilute the GOP vote though.

Continuing from the Washington Post article, "Advisers to the president say his long-standing position on immigration is not motivated by presidential politics. But in a few years, they predict, the Latino population will surge in "red" states, where residents have traditionally voted for Republicans in presidential contests. States such as Texas, which has been a GOP stronghold for a generation, could become permanently "purple" tossups if Republicans do not repair their image."

As you can see, right from the donkey's mouth, the Democrats motives are for consolidation of power and not for any noble or altruistic reasons when it comes to allowing illegal aliens to flow into this country completely unabated.  After all, the Democrats don't look at these people as illegal aliens, but rather as undocumented Democrats.

Since Nancy Pelosi did not follow up on her campaign promise to "drain the swamp" in the House of Representatives when she became Speaker, I guess we Americans will have to help her do this gargantuan job this November.  Oh yeah... and that goes for you and your cronies in the senate too, Harry Reid!

Wall Street's Love Affair with the Democrats

I know it is a common myth that the Republicans are the party of big business and the Democrats are for the little guys in America, and such may very well have been the case.... a long time back. This is definitely not true today, despite the propaganda to the contrary from Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Democrats in general, and their willing accomplices in the mainstream media.

It would seem that the Obama administration in particular and Democrats on the whole are far more beholden to big business and Wall Street in recent years than the GOP ever was. If one wanted to look no further then at where a huge percentage of the TARP bailouts and stimulus package monies went, one would find that a significant percentage went to big business Democratic donors.

Even those associated with these big businesses have found friendly shelter in the Obama White House. I give you our corrupt tax-evading Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner as my first exhibit of the this coziness of big business and Democrats. One can find ALL sorts of administration officials and friends that used to be associated with Goldman Sachs, AIG, etc if one were to take just a few minutes just googling the internet.

You would like further non-partisan proof of this, you say? Fine! The non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics has some very interesting statistics that puts the truth out there to combat the "conventional wisdom" that is seemingly nothing more than falsehoods nowadays.

While I have a strong distaste for defending the incompetent Republicans, the truth of the matter is that it is the Democrats that are in bed with Wall Street. So do not fall for the line that the Democrats are looking out for the little guy, because the numbers do not lie. The Democrats, on the other hand, do lie.

Who Hijacked Our Country, Anyway?

I have grown exceptionally frustrated with our captain at the helm, Obama, as of late. Of course there has been darn little to recommend of him from the very beginning. It would seem that many of our fellow Americans are waking up to this realization that President Obama is decidedly over his head in this job and is absolutely not up to the task of performing his executive duties in a timely, efficient, or even Constitutional manner most of the time. This is evidenced by Obama’s nearly universal hemorrhaging of his approval ratings and the continued rosy forecast for conservatives in the coming November elections. One can only hope that the American people will manage to put good honest constitutional conservatives into office instead of right-wing mouth-piece politicians who only wish to serve for the power and perks of the job. I think there are enough Americans that are outraged and awake now so that this will indeed be the case.

Furthermore, on the battlefield of ideas, the progressives as they are represented by the new communistic Democratic Party are bereft of any solutions or strategies to retain power and further enact their cancerous agenda upon the American people through any honorable means.

Obama, Reid, and Pelosi are scrambling behind closed doors, because despite rhetoric to the public to the contrary, they can see the tsunami of outrage from the American citizens at their largesse and usurpations of treasure, power, and liberties. What the left has done is nothing less than take the overwhelming good will and hope of the people that they garnered with President Obama’s election and squandered it in trying to push through their un-Constitutional and unwanted agenda upon the American populace.

The huge bailouts of corporations was the first case, and while the populace was somewhat divided on the issue at first, this became obvious that it was poorly planned, handled, and executed in its fruition. Private businesses such as numerous banks and automakers etc were effectively seized by the government, told what services and products they would now be providing and manufacturing, their executives were fired and new executives told what they would be paid, and the corresponding debt of many of these companies was not legally adjudicated. Instead the Obama administration decided how the assets for GM and Chrysler were to be dispersed so that shareholders, vendors, and other debt-holders were given short-shrift while a hugely unduly amount of the assets and controls of the auto companies was given to the unions… huge Democratic donors. Hugo Chavez couldn’t have done better!

Next came health care, which was promised to be open to all input, televised continuously and transparently on C-Span, and done so as to correct existing systemic health care system problems. Instead we got an incrementally-encroaching system that will eventually bankrupt private insurance (as per the Democrats’ plan), exacerbate costs, create rationing of service, and ultimately destroy health care for those that DID have it. As the specifics of the Democrats plan was put forth and the public became more aware of the egregious drawbacks contained therein, public opinion shifted to the point that a significant majority of Americans were against this iteration of the plan. The Democrats did not care and used intimidation and bribes (Louisiana Purchase, Cornhusker kickback etc.) in order to push through this legislation regardless of what the public wanted.

The same is true with the cap and trade legislation currently under debate in congress. The more that the American people learn of this plan and the needlessly higher costs on energy that this legislation will impose upon us, the far less they like it. Nevertheless, the Democrats see their window of opportunity closing with the pending November elections and are determined to ram this un-needed and unwanted legislation down our throats too, in order to enact their new world order agenda.

Lastly, while the BP oil spill was not Obama’s fault, his lack of following protocols in dealing with it have put him on par with former President Bush and his inept handling of affairs in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. There existed pre-authorization to do burns of the oil immediately in the days following the accident. This was not done and hence the oil has encompassed huge parts of the Gulf of Mexico and is working its way to the gulf stream currents to take it up the Atlantic seaboard. There were also protocols in place to set booms to entrap the oil spill while still small. No effort was made to do so. Meanwhile, nearly two months after this disaster, Obama had left his Whitehouse concerts and fun long enough to finally deign to meet with BP’s CEO regarding the problem. Current criticism of Obama’s poor handling of this incident from the public is disregarded from the administration.

Obama’s leadership has been non-existent. He has acted like little more than a spoiled figure-head. He states what he wants accomplished and then leaves the heavy lifting to his minions. Health care is a great example of this, as Nancy Pelosi was the primary agent for taking care of the illegal details to make the still apt name “Obama-care” come to fruition. The same can be said for handling the details of cap and trade. Obama leaves the details to others. Nowhere is this more apparent though then in the gulf oil spill.

Ultimately, it is only through ignoring the will of the people, ignoring the constraints on the federal government dictated by the Constitution, and offering bribes for votes on such pernicious legislation that has allowed any of this to go forward. The fact that there are a few rank and file Democrats that still support this gross misconduct and seek to justify it notwithstanding, the majority of Americans and indeed many other Democrats and Independents have had enough. This is not what Obama and the Democrats promised in 2008. It is not what the American people thought they were voting for accordingly. And it is not going to stand come November. Our nation was indeed hi-jacked, but we the people are taking back control of the ship, starting with the jettisoning many of the ship’s crew in November and ending with removing the captain of the ship in 2012. One can only hope that we can steer clear of the rocky shoals until that time!

Quotations from Our Democratic Leaders

The depths of arrogance, foolishness, and just plain stupidity exhibited by our supposed elected representatives to the federal government has often times been something that common sense Americans have noted with wonder and disgust. Lately though, there seems to be even more fodder to thoroughly enrage common sense and freedom-loving Americans. Of course, most of these quotations come from the party in power: The Constitutionally averse Democrats. I give you examples of some of their recent statements.

- "If you pass the [pro-life] Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more." Rep. Bart Stupak (D, MI) quoting Democrat leaders that summarized the issue for him by explaining that easy access to abortion is essential to saving money for the government. (Quoted in National Review Online). I find this particularly disturbing particularly in light of this "principled" man vowing to stand firm for life, until he decided to vote against life.

- "A bill can be bipartisan without bipartisan votes." Nancy Pelosi, claiming that the GOP has left its "imprint" on the health care bill. (Quoted in THE HILL). This quotation is about as stupid and indicative of the left as John Kerry's infamous, "I voted for it, before I voted against it."

- "We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it." Nancy Pelosi, addressing the 2010 Legislative Conference for the National Association of Counties. This is just transparency at its finest. See my posting on this issue on my blog here.

- "Once we kick through this door, there'll be more legislation to follow." Nancy Pelosi yet again, as quoted to left-wing bloggers regarding health care. (Washington Post)

- "Your employer, it's estimated, would see premiums fall by as much as 3,000 percent, which means they could give you a raise." Barack Hussein Obama, as stated to a Strongsville, Ohio crowd while there giving a speech to push his health care bill. (Quoted in the Cleveland Plain Dealer) I wonder what credible source made such a fantastically inaccurate estimate. Now if he meant that premiums would by necessity have to RISE by 3,000 percent, then I will buy the veracity of the quotation.

- "I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate." Barack Hussein Obama, from an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier as he dismissed objections to Pelosi's "Deem and Pass" tactic. Yes, I am certain our Dear Leader could care less about proprieties and legalities as long as his agenda is enacted.

Barack Hussein Obama, two days before approving "Deem and Pass" (Quoted in National Review) Who in the hell is Obama kidding!?!? Any transparency in his Administration has only come from the right-wing blogosphere and Fox News trying to pry the truth out of the murky abyss of the White House. That quotation is the very definition of audacity!

- And lets not forget the recent comments from Representative Hank Johnson when questioning an Admiral of whether deploying additional Marines to the island of Guam would cause it to "tip over and capsize".

In my opinion, it is time to vote out every last single representative and senator in the House and senate. We might lose a handful of good conservatives within that group of 535 members, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make if we can put common sense conservative Americans in office in order to right the ship of state. And oh yes, lets by all means have a mutiny and vote out the captain of that ship in 2012. THAT is change I can believe in!

Dumb and Dumber

I heard some commentary the other day that basically made the point that I have been making for years. It seems that the Democrats and the state-sponsored media have this evil and slanderous penchant for portraying all Republicans as ignorant and/or down-right stupid, while all Democrats are portrayed as enlightened and brilliant.

This never holds more true then when one examines our presidential and vice-presidential candidates and office-holders in the last few decades.

The case has always been made by the left, and echoed in the redundant left-wing socialist media, how "brilliant" such Democrats were from Carter (the intellectual), to Clinton (the Rhodes Scholar), to Al Gore (the saviour of the planet), to John Kerry (the Brahmin intellectual), to the anointed one, Barrack Hussein Obama.

Contrast that with the characterizations of their Republican counterparts. Gerald Ford (couldn't even walk without tripping and stupidly pardoned Nixon). Ronald Reagan (simpleton and "amiable dunce" that provoked the USSR). George H.W. Bush (office place holder and not really qualified for office). George W. Bush (the "true village idiot" that followed his own whims without knowing what he was really doing; also was so dumb that Cheney and Rove had to run and control things).

And then the latest slander job was done on Sarah Palin. Here is a successful governor that stomped out corruption in BOTH parties in her state, cut un-needed expenses and was wildly popular with both parties in Alaska that was touted as nothing more than a stupid, un-educated hokey mom. (She got her degree in Idaho? Why she is not even an ivy league graduate!)

Well do you know what? Forget for the moment that none of the lies perpetrated by the left regarding the intelligence of any of the Republicans mentioned are true. Rather lets look at the HUGE failures that these intellectuals of the left have wrought.

Carter by any standard ranks as one of the poorest presidents in the history of the republic. His economic policies were such abject failures that he was responsible for the creation of a new economic term... stagflation. His appeasement of the Soviet Union was dangerous at best, and his fecklessness lead to our embassy in Iran being held hostage for more than a year.

While Clinton was no doubt smart, his complete lack of any moral compass, and his ambition to hold on to power regardless of the cost let him bob back and forth on the sea of the latest poll's opinion. Our nation bobbed up and down with him accordingly and many opportunities to do great things were lost by Clinton's lack of leadership.

Gore, who has delusions of grandeur, decided after inventing the Internet that he would save the planet with false and largely debunked science intended to do nothing more than line his own pockets through fear mongering. His arrogance made him declare the debate on global warming was over and then he brow-beat and used Alinsky tactics to demonize any of those that would dare speak contrary to this "brilliant Nobel-prize winning" politician. He was a political opportunist that changed from pro-gun and pro-life as a congressman to being anti-gun and pro-abortion as a senator on the rise. This kind of brilliance, America does not need.

John Kerry, who had college grades (along with Gore's) that were lower than George W. Bush's, always portrayed his elitist intellectualism without having a single significant accomplishment to point to as fruition of his intellectual work. This man always was a stuffed suit and got where he was through lying and connections.

And finally our eloquent and yet incompetent current president. The community organizer that sounds brilliant, as long as no one unplugs the teleprompter has accomplished even less than what John Kerry has. That is, unless, you wish to count the destruction he has done to our republic through his Marxist, un-Constitutional, and un-American polices. Obama, when looking at his resume, was not even fit to run a fortune 500 company let alone the greatest country in the world.

No. As far as I am concerned, I will side with the Republicans that have restored the economy several times now, won the cold war, liberated millions of people from tyranny, and by and large stuck to American values and the U.S. Constitution.

You leftists can keep your economy-killing, dictator appeasing, terrorist rights supporting, Marxist brilliant intellectuals.

I'll side with the dummies that have actually made this country, and the world, better off.

My Dog

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day. She has her food prepared for her. She can eat whenever she wants, 24/7/365. Her meals are provided at no cost to her. She visits the doctor once a year for her checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this she pays nothing, and nothing is required of her. She lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than she needs, but she is not required to do any upkeep. If she makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. She has her choice of luxurious places to sleep. She receives these accommodations absolutely free. She is living like a queen, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of her costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day. I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head; Holy Crap, my dog is a Democrat!
