Please, Tell Me What I am Thinking, Mr. Leftist

There have been occasions in my life where I have had someone tell me what it is that I think. Knowing the human condition as I do, I suspect we have all experienced this at one time or another.  It is really annoying.  Especially when they are wrong!

Probably twenty years ago, I and my late wife, my brother, and his soon-to-be ex-wife, who was typically argumentative, decided we’d go out to dinner at the local pizza parlor.  While our wives went up to the counter to order the pizza, my brother and I went to the bar to get beer for us all.  I had no more than sat down at our table when my brother’s wife came running towards me from the counter with my wife in hot pursuit.  She demanded to know somewhat indignantly whether I liked thin or thick crust pizza.  I quizzically looked at her and said that I have always liked only thick crust and despise thin crust pizza, to which my wife responded to my brother’s betrothed, “See?  I think I know what my husband likes.”  My brother’s wife was having none of it and told me that she was absolutely sure that I had liked thin crust.

That was typical of Pam.

It wasn’t too long after that my brother got a divorce and she was involuntarily placed under medical supervision for being completely nuts.  (Not necessarily just because of this incident though – at least I assume so.)

Well, it seems like the certifiably nuts contagion is spreading these days.  What is even more ironic is that I have been accused of this very thing by one of the goof balls that is always guilty of this exact faux pas towards me when it comes to politics.  Indeed, I have been called an authoritarian, racist, homophobe, Trump-supporter, and neo-Nazi for years by one particular individual who may actually be in the terminal stages of leftist Kool-aide intoxication.  It doesn’t matter what I write or say to the contrary.  The fact is that I disagree with his leftist bunk, so he must know what kind of pizza I like!

I have always strongly disliked Trump, which I have reiterated ad nauseum.  Indeed, I didn’t even vote for him the first time he ran.  Nor did I vote for him the primary this year.  Mr. Kool-aide insists that I am a blind follower, admirer, and believer of his lies.  It does no good to explain that Trump is the lesser of two evils, and having seen how Biden and Trump have each governed, I choose Trump to be president.  I don’t like him, trust him, or believe a lot of what he says.  I believe in NOTHING that the head of the Biden crime family says or does.  It is a painful choice.  But I must like that damned cracker-crust pizza according to this one individual.

What is really ironic, interesting, and hypocritical on his behalf is that this individual has accused me of supporting a racist and neo-Nazi, while this person supports all of the racist BLM, DEI, critical race theory nonsense and thinks it is necessary for Israel to immediately commence a cease-fire in the hopes of one day establishing a two-state solution with the very people that voted for the government that is actually calling for a genocide of the entire Jewish people.  Disconnect much?

According to him, “Believing Trump's lies is what makes Americans neo-Nazis.”  Meanwhile he is actually championing modern day Nazis hoping to exterminate the Jews that Hitler couldn’t, while he erroneously blames Israel for the “Israeli land theft, apartheid, terrorism, the Palestinian Nakba and GAZA holocaust.”  A little research of other-than-left-wing propaganda would prove that all of that is a lie.

This person has long parroted that, “The authoritarian personality has a characteristic over-active and enlarged primitive amygdala, the brain's fear/fight/flight center. This is why they readily embrace whatever triggers their anger, fear and hate.”

While there probably is a legitimate scientific basis for this conclusion, the irony is that an authoritarian is using this in hyperbolic propaganda-fashion to support the limitation of constitutional freedoms because he assumes that I and other like-minded conservatives are the one wanting to restrict the democratic process and destroy our nation, while his president has actually been doing this.

The whole ludicrous backwards notion is enough to make me tired and hungry.  Maybe I’ll go see if I can find some deep-dish pizza somewhere, even though I supposedly don’t like it.

The Democrats' Hypocrisy on Russia

Some of President Trump's statements at the Helsinki Summit with Vladimir Putin were definitely foolish and cringe-worthy.  He did not help his own created image of being the tough, no-nonsense leader that he would like to portray to the rest of us.  That said, Trump's actions against Russia, particularly as compared to that of President Obama's and his corrupt Secretary of State Clinton's, is orders of magnitude tougher than that of previous Democrats.  Of course, that doesn't fit the leftist narrative and will be summarily dismissed by them accordingly.

I find it ironic that the Left's posturing against Russia is so tough these days now that they are "out of power".  I remember when Russia was still Communist and many on the left adored them and thought their own country, particularly under Ronald Reagan, was the real threat to world peace and prosperity.  I guess their group hallucination regarding the mis-perceived transgression that Russia cost their own corrupt Hillary the presidency has really ruffled their feathers.  I guess to many Leftists slights against their party are more damnable than slights against their country.

...Says the Big Huge Hypocritical Pot to the Kettle

Does Barack Obama have absolutely no sense of shame whatsoever?  Wait!  No need to answer that question!  Just watch the video below that left me flabbergasted.

Once again, Obama was right with some of his critical rhetoric when he was campaigning as Senator Obama.  Evidently when we elected him to be president, he forgot those principles upon which he ran and actually decided to try to trump all of the egregious governmental spending of his predecessor of whom he correctly chastised for having done so.

I am sure glad that he was going to change Washington D.C.  I think we all just assumed that he meant in the opposite direction, instead of deeper into irresponsibility and fiscal insanity.  Indeed if by President Obama's accounting, George W. Bush was unpatriotic for his borrowing and spending, then does that make Obama's even greater spending in half of the time "treasonous"?

The Media's Double Standard for Governor Palin vs. President Obama

“This speaks to a bigger picture here that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously we’ve gotta stand with our North Korean allies.”  - Sarah Palin making a verbal slip on the Glenn Beck Show.

Of course the "gotcha" state-run media immediately ran with this story further "justifying" Palin as not up to the caliber of a presidential contender.  Never mind the fact that Palin throughout the very same interview, including just seconds before the above slip had correctly stated our relationship with South Korea and North Korea as she has done continuously in many previous interviews in the past.

Evidently the press, once again, has double standards when it comes to broadcasting her simple slip of the tongue, and yet one rarely if ever hears of the doozies from our current president from that same media.  Governor Palin responded with a fantastic post on Facebook that points out the hypocrisy, accordingly.  Following is an excerpt from her posting that clearly makes her point, complete with links for the millions of Americans that might not ever have heard of these silly slips of the tongue from President Obama:

"My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate – from the FBI’s 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. And let’s face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian for that…"

Government Employees and Their Evasion in Paying Taxes

I saw this article in the LA Times which very clearly displays the hypocrisy and double standards that our government has for its own employees versus all of us people who pay their salaries through confiscatory tax policies that they seemingly can ignore with impudence.

The article states in parts, "Privacy laws prevent release of individual tax delinquents' names. But we do know that as of the end of 2009, 41 people inside Obama's very own White House owe the government they're allegedly running a total of $831,055 in back taxes."

Further, "In the House of Representatives, 421 people owe a total $6,524,892. In the Senate, 217 owe $2,774,836. In the IRS' parent department, Treasury, 1,204 owe $7,670,814. At the Labor Department, where Secretary Hilda Solis' husband had some back-tax problems before her confirmation, 463 owe $7,481,463. Eighty-one workers for the Federal Reserve System's board of governors owe $1,076,733."

Next, "Over at the Justice Department, which is so busy enforcing other laws and suing Arizona, 1,971 employees still owe $14,350,152 in overdue taxes."

And finally regarding Janet Napolitano's Department of Homeland Security, "... there reside 4,856 people who owe the tax agency a whopping total of $37,012,174."

How in the world are we to survive as a nation when laws are only enforced on the people of this country and not on our "leaders"?  It is far past time when We The People must hold our elected officials and government employees accountable to the same laws and regulations with which we are held responsible to obey.

Evidently, they feel that they don't have to pay their "fare share" of the burden which they levy upon the rest of us.

The Bankruptcy Hypocrisy

It is really easy to pick out any number of incidents of left-wing Democrat hypocrisy on a daily basis, but the audacity of our president’s statements during his latest interview with ABC’s Charlie Gibson the other day is quite astounding. This president, who has proposed budgets and current spending that dwarfs that of all 43 previous presidents COMBINED, had the temerity to chasten us that if we do not pass this health care monstrosity, we will bankrupt the nation.

Now the first thing that comes to my mind is how in the heck does expanding government bureaucracy, rationing health care (thereby killing off citizens and decreasing the amount of people paying taxes), and spending trillions to insure those without insurance is going to save the country from going bankrupt? I fail to follow the logic.

Obama said, “If we don't pass it, here's the guarantee….your premiums will go up, your employers are going to load up more costs on you. Potentially they're going to drop your coverage, because they just can't afford an increase of 25 percent, 30 percent in terms of the costs of providing health care to employees each and every year. “ The president further said that the costs of Medicare and Medicaid are on an “unsustainable” trajectory and if there is no action taken to bring them down, “the federal government will go bankrupt.” Finally Obama stated, “This actually provides us the best chance of starting to bend the cost curve on the government expenditures in Medicare and Medicaid.”

Pardon me, Mr. President, but nowhere does this plan lessen the costs of health care, let alone improve the quality of its coverage for us Americans. I’ll say it again, if you add millions more uninsured at tax payer expense to the health care rolls while providing huge disincentives to doctors and medical providers in terms of what they can charge and how they can practice medicine, the end result will be many more patients being cared for by far fewer physicians. The result of having a greater demand vs. the available supply is higher costs and less product/service available per person “demanding” it. Simple economics, but evidently not so for President Obama, despite numerous think tanks and even the CBO stating that costs would be higher (much higher by the more realistic reviewers) than the rosy picture being placed on the price tag of just shy of one trillion dollars that our congress has said would be the case.

The bottom line is, President Obama, that if you want to save the country from bankruptcy, then quit ALL spending that is not specifically authorized under the United States Constitution. Quit bailing out those businesses and industries that failed to manage their affairs prudently because they counted on a government bailout should their risky ventures not pan out in their favor. Quit spending money on special interests and pork projects to buy off votes in congress. Quit borrowing trillions of dollars from countries that are NOT our friends (China) or from anywhere else for that matter.

If you want to save the country from bankruptcy, do not sign this bill into law and thereby take over 1/6th of our nation’s economy for the federal government to operate defacto. Despite your propaganda and blatant hypocrisy, Mr. President, it is the killing of this current health care bill that will keep us from going into bankruptcy for the moment. Passing it will push us over the edge.

Left-wing Hypocrisy

It seems to me that I recall Nancy Pelosi claiming how the Democrats, once in charge again, were going to clean up the corruption in Washington D.C. It seems to me that then-candidate Obama claimed that should he win, his administration was going to be honest and transparent to the people. I knew better back when these two first made these statements. After all, look at their past history. Things were NOT going to change now simply because they said so.

Unfortunately, most Americans are too busy just trying to take care of their business and family in their day to day lives so that they didn't know the details and sordid history of these people. All they heard were these wonderful refreshing sound bites placed out there for mass consumption by a leftist/statist-friendly media.

After the idiot Republicans completely abrogated their responsibilities and spent and governed like the worst of the Democrats, who can blame the American people for throwing the bums out. Unfortunately the replacements are even worse than those that were replaced, not that one would know it from the White House-compliant media. According to the press, the second coming of Camelot has finally arrived.

President Obama said he was going to be a "post-partisan" president. That statement on the face of it is laughable in the extreme for anyone that actually looked back at his career. NEVER did Obama compromise on any legislation or support a right-of-center proposal. His idea of compromise is for the right to come over to his side of the issue. In the current health care debate, he said he was open to Republican ideas and would meet with them to discuss their proposals. When the Republican leadership attempted to do so back in May, they were ignored by Obama. So much for post-partisanship.

Now we have an administration that admonished its predecessor for inept governing and out-of-control spending that has gone and routinely violated the US Constitution in it governing in completely unprecedented fashion in the first eight months of office and has proposed spending that is more than all 43 of the preceding presidential administrations COMBINED.

We have seen this administration use the Constitution for toilet paper in its appointing of unprecedented amounts of unelected and unaccountable czars that report only to Obama.
We have seen the federal take over of PRIVATE companies (i.e. GM & Chrysler for starters), fire the CEO's, stipulate what compensation would be for the executives, and then tell them what kind of cars they were going to make. All of this from a president that "had no desire to run a car company". As if to exacerbate the problem, our executive branch of government then told GM and Chrysler which privately owned and purchased franchises they would be closing.

How did we ever get to this point in America? But it does no good to put a name to this type of governing. Those on the left claim it is irresponsible, hyperbole, or racism to name what this is. Marxism! The left claims that these are meaningless labels that only serve to inflame the right and stifle real debate.

The fact is they don't want debate; they want capitulation from the right. Further they have the votes, if they remain in lock-step, to pass their new world order socialist agenda. That's what We The People voted for last November, and such is their right, but don't expect me to be happy about it or be quiet about it. I, for one, am more then a little fed up with the left-wing hypocrisy, but I guess that term nowadays is rather redundant.
