John Voight's Open Letters to President Obama

John Voight is one of the very few actors in America that has the strength of character and the clarity of thought to go against the rest of the liberal Hollywood lemmings and speak what is apparent to most of us Americans that still give a damn about our greatest nation on earth.

Mr. Voight nailed it with his recitation of the letter he wrote to President Obama back on April 10th of this year.  He reads it in the following video below:

And now, John Voight released a new letter this last Tuesday that addresses President Obama's latest transgressions.  He is also dead on accurate in every aspect of his letter with the technical exception that he is incorrect about Israel being the only democracy in the Middle East.  Thanks to President Bush and the valiant men and women of our armed forces, Iraq and marginally Afghanistan are also now democracies who's leadership is finally determined by the citizens of those nations.

Normally I pay little heed to actors and their asinine political opinions.  Mr. Voight's thoughts though are such a refreshing contradiction to the normal Hollywood air heads that I thought it worthy of posting it accordingly.
It is good to know that there still is a living breathing thinking conservative actor still alive since John Wayne died.

President Obama:

You will be the first American president that lied to the Jewish people, and the American people as well, when you said that you would defend Israel, the only Democratic state in the Middle East, against all their enemies. You have done just the opposite. You have propagandized Israel, until they look like they are everyone's enemy — and it has resonated throughout the world. You are putting Israel in harm's way, and you have promoted anti-Semitism throughout the world.

You have brought this to a people who have given the world the Ten Commandments and most laws we live by today. The Jewish people have given the world our greatest scientists and philosophers, and the cures for many diseases, and now you play a very dangerous game so you can look like a true martyr to what you see and say are the underdogs. But the underdogs you defend are murderers and criminals who want Israel eradicated.

You have brought to Arizona a civil war, once again defending the criminals and illegals, creating a meltdown for good, loyal, law-abiding citizens. Your destruction of this country may never be remedied, and we may never recover. I pray to God you stop, and I hope the people in this great country realize your agenda is not for the betterment of mankind, but for the betterment of your politics.

With heartfelt and deep concern for America and Israel,

Jon Voight

Either actors should shut up and act, or their opinions are valid and should be taken seriously. You can't have it both ways (which is what conservatives always strive for). Make a choice.

As far as Voight's message, there is little fact in his silly rant. He is wrong about Israel and wrong on Arizona. His hysteria has the same level of accuracy and depth as the average Glenn Beck monologue...minus the crying.

I had no idea that there were still conservatives in Hollywood. I thought they were extinct.

The thing is so many agree with John Voight

Thank goodness for actors who aren't afraid to not tow the Obama line/minus whakcos like Jeanine Garafolo,Charlie Sheen,Sean Penn,Alec Baldwind(well you get too many to count)

So, Lisa, only conservatives in Hollywood have a right to speak their opinion?

Dave, that hasn't historically been the case, but I like your idea there! :)

Actually, the conservative actors have been pariahs in Hollywood for the most part in the last 25 years. It is your enlightened and open-minded liberal actors that seem to have no tolerance for diversity of ideas.

Actually all actors should have the same right to free speech as all Americans have. The leftist ones just shouldn't expect to be taken seriously because their ideas are typically nonsensical. :)
