The 10 Most Corrupt Politicians of 2009

Judicial Watch is a public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption. It recently released its list of the ten most corrupt politicians of 2009. After reading the list I'd say they pretty well nailed the top ten quite accurately. Of course of the 535 members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, it would probably be a lot tougher to name ten politicians that weren't corrupt.

Regardless, the "honorees" making the most recent list in alphabetical order are:

1. Senator Chris Dodd
2. Senator John Ensign
3. Representative Barney Frank
4. Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner
5. Attorney General Eric Holder
6. Representative Jesse Jackson Junior/Senator Roland Burris
7. President Barack Obama
8. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi
9. Representative John Murtha
10. Representative Charlie Rangel

See the link here for the specifics of why Judicial Watch placed these stellar examples of public servants on their top ten most corrupt politicians list.

I think you left off the fact that Judicial Watch is an extreme right wing group whose sole purpose is to bring frivolous law suits against Democrats. The fact that only one person on the list is a Republican, kinda proves the point.

President Obama is corrupt? That is bogus on its face. I know you all disagree with him, but where is the corruption? Non-existent.

Just because the GOP went down in flames due to corruption, does not mean the other side is the same. Nice try, though.

Dave, have you paid attention to the news and read the reasons for the charges on these jokers on the list? If wanting corrupt crooks punished meets your definitions of extreme right wing bias and frivolous, then I need to buy you a new dictionary, my friend.

Next, Obama's whole career is based on Chicago-style politics and corruption. If you cannot see all of the corruption that he is right smack dab in the middle of, then you are a bigger partisan than I thought you were.

Please tell me how anyone on that list is not fully deserving of being on it. Further, if you think there are some other Republicans more worthy of the honor of the list besides the one already there, please enlighten me as to whom they are, sir.

Obama is corrupt because he passed a health care bill with bribes and threats and he is bankrupting the country...purposely.
Plus his campaign donations were untraceable.
Doesn't sound so squeaky clean to me.
How much of taxpayer money has he spent on his big Lavish White House Parties. Nothing from the media about it. He reminds me of a Imperailist and the rest of us are just peasants.
