Rush on Free Medical School for Primary Care Doctors

Well once again, Mr. Limbaugh makes an excellent observation.  It seems that even the Obama administration acknowledges that there will likely be around a 40,000 shortfall of needed primary care doctors by the year 2020.  One of the main reasons for this shortfall, they claim, is due to the exorbitant $150K in costs that it takes to complete medical school.  Their solution to this is to provide $2.5 Billion dollars a YEAR to provide free medical school tuition to those aspiring doctors that want to become primary care doctors.  If a doctor wants to specialize in a field, and thus make more money, then of course his tuition fees will not be waived and paid for by the tax-payers.

I find all of this particularly interesting in light of the fact that we were told that Obamacare would fix these problems.  Further, we were told that the conservatives were "lying" about all of the disincentives that were being created in the legislation that would cause many current doctors to thus leave their practices and discourage future potential doctors from ever entering the medical profession.  Evidently, the "lie" was actually the truth all along.

We won't even get into the fact that this shortage of primary care doctors when taken in conjunction with the 30 million more people now being covered by health insurance will create much longer waiting lines, higher costs, and rationing just by looking at the simple supply and demand economics equation of it all.  One adds more patients and has less doctors to treat those patients, then the inevitable results are poorer access and rationing of available doctors and services to all.  Wonderful job there, President Obama!  Thanks!

So now the solution to this shortfall of doctors, that the progressives' own un-Constitutional legislation has created, is to spend even more tax payer dollars in order to solve the problem.  I guess there is no issue that cannot be solved by big government and YOUR money, at least to the liberal mind's way of thinking, and may reality be damned!

Rush on College Indoctrination and the Lack of Critical Thinking

Rush Limbaugh, in this excerpt, asserts something that I have long held as truth.  Colleges today, especially in the more subjective, non-hard science matters and liberal arts fields do not encourage critical thinking, but rather insist upon students accepting the views and theories posited by their professors.  Dissent or opposing viewpoints, particularly in political science fields, are often not only discouraged but are actively ridiculed as being foolish, un-enlightened, or fundamentally wrong.

Indeed I have had the "pleasure" over many years of meeting more than a few graduate students that were educated far beyond their intelligence levels.  The typical condescension and inability for many of these folks to even consider opposing viewpoints based on sound theories and facts speaks exactly to their lack of critical thinking abilities and serves precisely as proof of Rush's assertion that in many cases a college education today represents an indoctrination of leftist pogroms rather than an ability to analyze and actually think with consideration of all aspects of the data presented.

Once again, Rush is right...

Rush on The Conservative Ascendancy

All politics is cyclical, so conservatism will not always rule the day, but Limbaugh is correct that it is in high ascendancy currently.  This is quite remarkable since it seemed that it would be in exile for at least a generation with the anointing of Obama to the presidency.  Ironically, the socialistic over-reach of President Obama and his fellow political travelers in the politburo.... er, I mean, in congress has awakened a majority of the American people who are lining up and voting that THIS is NOT what they wanted with the Democratic Party rise two years ago.

The grass roots rise of the Tea Party has come along and is in the process of holding the GOP accountable and thrashing the progressives in both parties so that fiscally responsible and constitutionally guided candidates will overwhelmingly rule the day this November 2nd.  The light of hope is indeed becoming brighter once again in America!

Rush on SEC Action Against New Jersey for Fraud

The hypocrisy of the Democratic Party is absolutely amazing.  (Not that the foolish Republicans are any shining example of how things should be governed either!)

Rush, Foreign Mosques, and Obama's Indifference to Christianity

It is rather ironic that President Obama cancelled the White House ceremony for the national day of prayer this year and yet his state department has seen fit to spend tax payer money to send forth the "ground zero mosque" imam to the Middle East as a goodwill ambassador to promote understanding of our Western society with all of Islam.  To make matters worse, evidently U.S. dollars have been spent in restoring mosques in Africa while our economy is on the verge of collapse.

Why the dichotomy between the seeming ambivalence at best towards Christianity by our president and yet the cheerleading and support he gives towards all things Islamic?

The nonsensical and farcical ruling by a U.S. District Court Judge when she declared our national day of prayer as un-Constitutional recently stated, "It goes beyond mere 'acknowledgment' of religion because its sole purpose is to encourage all citizens to engage in prayer, an inherently religious exercise that serves no secular function in this context," wrote Judge Barbara Crabb, who said the Day of Prayer violates the First Amendment's establishment clause, which bans the creation of a "law respecting an establishment of religion" in the Constitution.

President Obama seems to heed this in regards to Christian functions and yet he held the annual iftar dinner that celebrates the breaking of the fast for Islam's Ramadan at the White House last Friday 8/13/2010.  Further, wouldn't spending tax payers dollars in building mosques (especially foreign mosques) violate that same "respecting an establishment of religion" upon which Judge Crabb wrote her opinion?

The nonchalance or even thinly-veiled hostility towards Christianity while supporting and spending tax payer money to promote Islam, even outside America is unconscionable.  Either support equally the religious freedoms and rituals of all Americans or no Americans, Mr. President.  And regardless of which path you choose to proceed down in this regards, do NOT spend our tax dollars supporting religious institutions of any type in foreign nations.  The double standard is quite infuriating.  And even though you have chosen not to acknowledge this fact, Mr. President, our Christian nation is indeed perturbed at your less than Christian behavior, sir.

Rush on the Recent Wall Street Banking Legislation

Once again Rush puts things in proper perspective.  This time it involves the Democrats recent punitive regulations against their big Wall Street banking contributors.  Unfortunately, it is the small community banks that are likely to be harmed the most by this legislation.  This means less competition and worse outcomes for us consumers of the banking industry.  Once again, we go from dollars down to pocket change you can believe in.

Rush: CBO Estimates that Obamacare Exceeds $1 Trillion

Yep, even by CBO standards the newly passed Obama-care law will cost over $1 Trillion dollars.
Let me go out on a limb here (actually this is a very safe bet) and say that the costs of this program that Obama promised would REDUCE costs is going to cost us far far far more than the current CBO estimates.

This is just the first lie of the progressives that has been debunked. Unfortunately, once the entire plan is implemented in four years, we will see the other lies they told us be debunked too, like "there will be no rationing" and "there are no 'death' panels".

Unfortunately my being able to say "I told you so!" will be small consolation as our country implodes from all of this spending and the destruction of the world's best health care system. Dang, I hate being right on this issue!
