If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get twelve years of hard labor.
If you cross the Iranian border illegally, you are detained in prison indefinitely.
If you cross the Afghan border illegally, you can be shot.
If you cross the Saudi Arabian border illegally, you will be jailed.
If you cross the Chinese border illegally, you may never be heard from again.
If you cross the Venezuelan border illegally, you will be branded a spy and imprisoned.
If you cross the Cuban border illegally, you will be thrown into a political prison to rot.
If you cross the United States border illegally, you can get a job, a driver's license, welfare, food stamps, credit cards, subsidized rent or a loan to buy a home, free education including in-state tuition for college, free health care, all sorts of lobbyists in Washington working on your behalf, government documents printed in your language costing tax payers billions of dollars, the right to carry your country's flag while protesting that you don't get enough respect, and even the right to vote in some cases.
I just wanted to make sure that I understood my racist xenophobic country's position on this issue and that I had understood this correctly.

So, you're arguing the country should emulate Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and China? Is that the official tea party position? You're gonna "take back America" by making it more like Iran? Good luck with that.
You know in Iran you get your hand cut off for stealing and you get stoned to death for adultery. How about implementing those punishments here, too?

Other nations typically protect their borders very well; some of them with extreme prejudice.
I do think we should protect our borders at least as strongly as Mexico protects its southern border with Guatemala. Of course that would result in cries of racism too.
