The "Honesty and Decency" of Joe Biden

Joe Biden has always been a poseur.  He has lied about his education, his credentials, and his accomplishments.  He has plagiarized in law school and on the stump repeatedly.  He has grown incredibly wealthy over his 47 years in government "service".  He has been corrupt in his dealings too, including covering for his son Hunter Biden with shady deals regarding China and Ukraine.

A Ukrainian investigator was looking into Burisma, Ukraine's largest gas company, which paid Hunter Biden over $50,000 a month to be a board member despite not having any experience or knowledge of the industry.  With this windfall in jeopardy, Vice President Biden threatened the Ukrainian government.

"So they said they had—they were walking out to a press conference. I said, nah, I’m not going to—or, we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, you have no authority. You’re not the president. The president said—I said, call him. (Laughter.) I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I said, you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch. (Laughter.) He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time."

The left screams that Trump had the audacity to ask the Ukrainian government to look into this coercion from sitting VP Biden as corruption, but they ignore the mafioso deal-they-cannot-refuse given to them by Biden.  Just one more example of the "honest and decent" man that the left is portraying Biden to be despite all evidence to the contrary.

You know I totally agree. Does anyone vote issues these days or is it all personality and what kind of image you can project and fool people into believing is real?

Of course you need to ignore this was US policy, international consensus, and had the support of Ukrainians.

Like Toady Barr, the prosecutor was corrupt. Barr lied to congress and the American people.

I recall the days when you agreed Trump was not morally qualified to be president. Something, or someone, changed.

A patently false retread of all the bullet-points from "right"-leaning sources.

There's plenty of documentation out there, much of contemporaneously to the events rather than 5 years later when the Trump administration threatened to withhold Congressionally-mandated aid to Ukraine (Not 'ask the Ukrainian Government').

I'm sorry you've bought into these 'Alternative Facts', but I understand how easy it can be to be duped. And rather than admit your wrongness, it's just easier to dig in your heels and continue to parrot a fiction until enough people don't care that it's not fact. It feels right and it also distracts you from the obvious nepotism and corruption that are occurring right now in the current administration.

Just. Like. A. Cult.

(CNN)A pastor in Idaho who called himself a "no-masker" during a service and repeatedly questioned the veracity of coronavirus case reporting is in the ICU after contracting Covid-19.

Paul Van Noy, senior pastor at Candlelight Church in Coeur d'Alene, has spent two weeks in the hospital with a Covid-19 diagnosis, ministry coordinator Eric Reade confirmed to CNN. Five other church staff were infected with coronavirus, too, but they've all recovered, he said.

Did you get your new Trump Smoke Detector? It stays silent so you don't panic.

Olivia Troye was Pence's lead staffer on COVID. "When we were in a task force meeting, the president said, 'maybe this COVID thing is a good thing... I don't have to shake hands with these disgusting people.'" He was talking about his own supporters. “Those disgusting people are the same people that he claims to care about.”

“The truth is he doesn’t actually care about anyone else but himself.”

A recently leaked phone call between then-Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko directly after the 2016 presidential election shows that Biden sought to sabotage the incoming Trump administration before Donald Trump even took office, and much worse.

During the course of the call, Biden badmouthed the incoming administration, saying, “The truth of the matter is that the incoming administration doesn’t know a great deal about [Ukraine]” and that they were unprepared for the transition. This in itself is inappropriate, but it was meant to set the stage for Biden’s next statement and future plans.

Biden then told Poroshenko, “I don’t plan on going away. As a private citizen, I plan on staying deeply engaged in the endeavor that you have begun and we have begun.” In a matter of moments, Biden undermined the incoming administration, branded them as not knowing anything about Ukraine, and attempted to set up a foreign policy backchannel for himself after he left office as a private citizen, which could violate the Logan Act.

My last comment was obviously directed at Dave's.

JTF, I am not surprised in the least. At least if Biden is ever called in front of congress to testify in his own impeachment hearings, he can legitimately claim that he "cannot recall" in response to questions.
