I guess when I am busy, some of the kids tend to get a little unruly when they aren't supervised.
I deleted the entire last post for several reasons. The first is that the post was simply a joke and not that important for the archives of theis blog. The comments underneath it that numbered into the hundreds were the typical nonsense that the internet has become when conservatives and leftists converge.
That said, the second reason is that one of our long time commenters inadvertently and then purposefully by his political adversaries have his real name divulged. If someone wants to use his real name, then great. If someone wishes to comment or write under a nom de plume, then basic decency says we should respect that right. Sadly decency is in short supply these days... on both sides of the political spectrum.
Be forewarned, going forward I will delete comments divulging personal information such as one's actual name, address, etc. unless the subject of that information consents to it.
Next, have we really become such a divided nation in the rank and file that we can relish the thought of the passing of our political adversaries? Hope springs eternal, right? YOU should be ashamed of yourself! You know who you are! One wonders what kind of karma that will bring in one's next life.
My disgust and revulsion with this hatred is the very reason I have had enough and am discontinuing the updating on this blog in only a few remaining days.
Have fun with your hatred and vileness towards each other whilst you can, but really don't you all have something useful, productive, and uplifting to do? Or is hate, foolishness, and "resistance" all you have to cling to these days? Believe me... I survived Obama's administration. You all will similarly survive Trump's. Further, the country will be far better off after the latter leaves office than it was after the former.
Cheers!

Mr. Paine,
You did the right thing.
That said, the second reason is that one of our long time commenters inadvertently and then purposefully by his political adversaries have his real name divulged.
I'm glad you finally got around to doing what I did on the day this information was first posted at my blog. Someone had to show some decency. I expect no credit here, but offering the fact for relevance.
One thing certain is the party in question has never shown a modicum of reciprocal respect. In fact, he used to attempt to intimidate me by trying to reveal my place of residency and employment. He actively disparaged what he believed to be my profession. It's all there. I'm not making this up.
I will remember his surname, but unless he becomes threatening, I will never put it in print.
Thank you, Mr. Paine, for confirming and revealing what was, until your post, only suspected. Now there is not any question.
The fact that "Chuck" revealed his true identity, whether purposely or not, isn't a reason for any of your readership to not use his name. As with any comment thread, one is free to delete their own comments at will. For some reason, "Chuck" chose not to delete the comment in question.
Since "Chuck" revealed himself, which, again, you have confirmed, you'll certainly receive no apologies from me.
His revelation was not through private correspondence, which automatically assumes the privilege of confidentiality and privacy, but rather on an open and public forum -- which happened to be yours.
Again, Mr. Paine, I appreciate your confirmation.
Further, the country will be far better off after the latter leaves office than it was after the former.
Like Bush left the country better off than Clinton did, or like Obama left the country better off than Bush?
Such optimism and faith in crooked Don Trump! Yes, even “No Hate” Ted “NRA” Nugent survived the "sub-human mongrel" Black president, so Easy Street awaits all white Americans at last. Free at last! Except for maybe the Leader's political enemies he wants to imprison. It's the new American con-servative way. No hate at all from the “Lock her up” and “enemy of the people” crowd. They know real treason is disagreeing with their leader.
Will democracy be better off? Will voter rights be better off? Will the public get more representation than the wealthy? Will alliances be better off? Will equal justice under law be better? Will public education be better off? Will access to healthcare be expanded? Will climate research be better off? Will sea levels and temperatures stop rising? Will polar ice stop shrinking? Will coral reefs stop bleaching and permafrost stop thawing? Will our air and water be cleaner?
I will need some convincing on these issues.
The rich will be better off, if that is your standard.
Anything's better than the hell of despotism and despair Obama wrought on those “real victims” amirite?
"whataboutism" on display.
You can take MM's word for it. He knows a thing or two about it.
TB3, you're absolutely correct I've been seeing it on the leftist posts since Nov 2016.b Glad you have opened your eyes.
The master of whataboutism has done it again.
Real "whataboutism on display" is in claiming a discussion of a quote from the original post is "whataboutism on display".
What about Obama's great speech today? What about Trump capitalizing on resentments.
First, JG, I am not in a position to confirm or deny anything. It is amusing that you deem that I have the knowledgeable authority to verify this one issue but nothing else, even when I support those other matters with facts and evidence. And of course I know better than to expect an apology to anyone for anything from you. But as I have heard it said, hope springs eternal.
Mr. Dubya, I am not even going to bother addressing your hysterically leftist talking points. It would fall on deaf ears yet again and serve absolutely no point. I agree that one or two items have actual merit, but the rest are nothing more than the same partisan bilge that has been pumped forth by the leftist extremists and their willing sycophants in the media for years now. These issues will wane for them at the election of the next socialist Democrat president and then will be towed back out for public consumption with great earnestness yet again if a Republican is ever elected again after that.
"Glad you have opened your eyes." -- MM
Always. Thank you for your help.
Obama Complains About Trump Taking Credit for Strong Economy...
But it’s not just Trump giving himself credit for the strong economy – economists are as well.
CNBC called the American economy a “tremendous achievement” for Trump, highlighting that “during his time in office, the economy has achieved feats most experts thought impossible. GDP is growing at a 3-percent plus rate. The unemployment rate is near a 50-year low. Meanwhile, the stock market has jumped 27 percent amid a surge in corporate profits.”
2 years after Obama left office and he is still whining. Has everyone forgot the "magic wane" comment from Obama?
Was the unemployment rate for blacks and Hispanic at record lows while Obama was in office? Did requests for food stamps drop to record lows while THE ONE was in office? Where more Americans working than are working today while Obama was in office? Were the jobs created under Obama public or private sector jobs? What sector are the jobs being created under Trump, public or private sector? What is better for America, public or private sector jobs? How much did Obama raise the average wage vs how much has Trump raised the avg wage. (HINT: Average hourly earnings increased 0.4 percent, or 10 cents in August after rising 0.3 percent in July. That raised the annual increase in wages to 2.9 percent in August, the largest gain since June 2009, from 2.7 percent in July.) Are Federal tax revenues higher or lower since President Trump was sworn in?
Construction companies hired 23,000 more workers last month. They increased payrolls by 18,000 jobs in July. Wholesalers added 22,400 jobs last month. Payrolls in the professional and business services industries rose by 53,000 jobs in August.
Global outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas said on Thursday there were 521 tariff-related job cuts in August, but these were largely offset by the hiring of 359 workers by steel producer
Coming up on 2 years of Trump in office, we have lowest employment levels in decades, record lowest unemployment levels for black and Hispanics, lower income taxes, record high private employment, highest wage increases since 2009, record income revenues collections.
And the Democrats want to remove President Trump from office.
LOL, they must be crazy, hate America or maybe both.

"Obama Complains About Trump Taking Credit for Strong Economy..." -- MM
Hey, MM. You can trust what President Obama says and take his word for it. He's a Doctor.
"your hysterically leftist talking points."
Is this the new far Right term for facts? Seems so, since you cannot deny or refute them with evidence.
Sorry, facts are still facts, no matter what your ideology and far Right liars say they are.
Picking on "Honest Don" and his agenda. How evil... Did you know Trump and his party are liars? When will you figure that one out? Or is it all just more "liberal hate"?
Have you figured out they are pro-pollution, pro-rich, anti-labor, anti-rule of law, and anti-democracy yet?
Trump is a crook and a liar and he betrayed our country. Trump is Putin's puppet.
Helsinki. The world saw it all.
Trump Nation chooses blindness.
And shame on Obama for saying Trump and his party capitalize on resentment and hate. How dare he say that about Honest Don and his Government Of Putin
More "hysterically leftist talking points"? Putin admitted in Helsinki, while Trump’s nose was up his ass, he wanted Trump. He is Putin’s man.
These points have merit as well, if you could see it.
If all you see is hate, that is from within, sir. When you attack and falsely accuse someone for presenting facts, it reflects only willful ignorance or blind hate. It is not reason by evidence by any stretch.
Your accusation without evidence reflects that hate you see only in others. You have no valid response to my facts, so you employ the authoritarian tactics of dismissal, demeaning, and accusation.
Authoritarian Rules and Tactics of Discourse
Did you think your side didn't have its own "Alinsky rules"? I've been documenting them, thanks to help from you and your sidekick.
You want to see real ideological partisan talking points?
Here is exactly what they look like:
partisan bilge that has been pumped forth by the leftist extremists and their willing sycophants in the media for years now. These issues will wane for them at the election of the next socialist Democrat
Straight from Limbaugh and FOX(R).
Sorry about all those facts, sir.
"partisan bilge that has been pumped forth by the leftist extremists and their willing sycophants in the media for years now. These issues will wane for them at the election of the next socialist Democrat"
Never actually provides examples. Feels like it should be true though, right?
"Hey, MM. You can trust what President Obama says and take his word for it. He's a Doctor." You really want to go there?
TB3,
Feelings over facts. Emotion over reason. Anger over understanding. Accusation over evidence. Authoritarianism over democracy, and corporate PR over science. Wealth over equality, Etc.
They just need a "doctor" with their politically correct beliefs to tell them so. Like Dr. Limbaugh. He FEELS it is true. Feels better than oxycontin, even.
Authority. Power. Wealth. Wow. I FEEL better just typing the words. Imagine how it FEELS if you believe in all that.
What I can't imagine is having so much hate for conservatives as leftist have.
"First, JG, I am not in a position to confirm or deny anything." ~~ T. Paine
I've recognized that about you since your trolling days on Tom Degan's blog.
"It is amusing that you deem that I have the knowledgeable authority to verify this one issue but nothing else, even when I support those other matters with facts and evidence." ~~ T. Paine
Other matters? Please elaborate.
Perhaps your fact-gathering skills and the ensuing evidence, have confirmed for you, also, that Donald Trump is, without a doubt, an unindicted co-conspirator and is most likely guilty of "high crimes and misdemeanors".
"And of course I know better than to expect an apology to anyone for anything from you." ~~ T. Paine
You're welcome, Mr. Paine.
Although, I do feel your loyal readership does deserve an apology for your wanton ignorance and verbose opinionated musings that you and the Government Of Putin have a monopoly on virtue.
"But as I have heard it said, hope springs eternal." ~~ T. Paine
For some, more than others.
We all live through many deaths, sometimes on a daily basis -- especially those who are marginalized because of their race or creed, or because of poverty or war. But you already know this, Mr. Paine, don't you?
Other deaths are less serious and consequential ~~ like one's trolling activity coming to a very compromised and sudden halt. ;-)
Pres. Trump says he watched former Pres. Obama's speech this afternoon "but I fell asleep. I've found he's very good, very good for sleeping.
"In your dreams." ~~ Majormajor (aka "Chuck")
Oh, no, you're wrong. You forgot to quote Dave's following two sentences. Here, I'll help you, since it's apparent from T. Paine's accusations that you may have challenges seeing. I don't think so, though. It's as I've said all along -- you have reading comprehension challenges. So much so, you can't even recognize your own name!
LOLOL
Anyway, for your reading pleasure:
"Trump is a crook and a liar and he betrayed our country. Trump is Putin's puppet.
Helsinki. The world saw it all.
Trump Nation chooses blindness."
Indeed, there's nothing worse than willful ignorance and self-inflicted blindness.
Don't you agree, "Chuck"? ;-)
an unindicted co-conspirator and is most likely guilty of "high crimes and misdemeanors". Now that's a crock of BS if there ever was one.
Who used that phrase, why a Democrat liberal senator who committed stolen valor to improve his resume, a great source of legal advise if there ever was one. A pentagram of honesty. But typical of liberals today.
"What I can't imagine is having so much hate for conservatives as leftist have." ~~ Majormajor (aka "Chuck")
What I can't imagine is having so much hate for democracy and human rights, as conservatives have exhibited against the citizens of this nation.
No sense in getting into the mud and wrestling with the pigs, Majormajor. It just gets you both dirty. ;)
"Who used that phrase?..." ~~ Majormajor (aka "Chuck")
Why, legal scholars everywhere, "Chuck". You obviously haven't kept up with the news about Trump's "fixer".
When Michael Cohen spilled the beans on his former boss, that's exactly what that meant!
Interesting, Trump says he has had "nothing to do with Russia". I'm currently reading a book that proves he's been ass-deep in Russia for decades.
"Chuck", don't you see that he's lying? (Oh, sorry, I forgot... ;-))
No sense in getting into the mud and wrestling with the pigs, Majormajor.
MM: And the Democrats want to remove President Trump from office.
LOL, they must be crazy, hate America or maybe both.
Mr. Paine will take the mud and run with it.
"No sense in getting into the mud and wrestling with the pigs, Majormajor." ~~ T. Paine
"Chuck", what Mr. Paine is gently, but honestly, trying to tell you: If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. ;-)
"Mr. Paine will take the mud and run with it." ~~ Dave Dubya
Indeed! He ran to his next post and concentrated on the misconstrued words of the governor of New York, the former quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers, and an 11 year-old girl who didn't want to recite the pledge of allegiance in school.
These are the problems embracing America in the ultra-radical conservative mind today. Forget the racism and divisive slurs and words of the so-called president of the United States, or the building case of treason and election tampering with an adversarial nation, or the continuing bullying and devisive stances with historical allies -- and instead favoring and pandering to dictatorial regimes around the globe.
None of this is touched upon, or even acknowledged. Neither is the constant offensive against a free press, or the jailing and caging of children taken away from parents, or the rollback of environmental protections and regulations that help keep us protected from the poisons and carcinogens pumped into our waterways, the atmosphere, the foods we eat and the water we drink.
These, and many other atrocities, are what "make America great again" to the unknowing and slogan-enamored simple conservative mind.
Very good, Mr. Paine! You managed to descend to even lower expectations I thought possible of you.
"Very good, Mr. Paine! You managed to descend to even lower expectations I thought possible of you." ~ JG
Thanks JG. That is all the clarification I need in order to know that I am indeed doing something very right. ;)
"...I am indeed doing something very right." ~~ T. Paine
To be more precise, very "alt-right". I'm sure you're quite proud.
Congratulations, again, for lowering yourself into the dark pit of the unfathomable. If I end up there, it's only because I was pushed. You, however, are willingly jumping in -- head-first.
Mr. Paine
Your right when it comes to this liberal poster.
